The BIPLab

The BIPlab is directed by Prof. Michele Nappi. It mainly focuses on techniques of Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition e Video Processing, with a special consideration for Biometrics applications, Image and Video compression, Medical Image Processing and Multimedia Databases. The mission of the BIPLab is to provide original contributions in theoretical and application research and to promote the technology transfer to companies, manufacturer and the market.

The BIPLab collaborates with national and international research institutes like: University of Beira Interior (Portugal), University of Cagliari, EURECOM (FRANCE), George Mason University, ICAR-CNR , University of Naples “Federico II”, University of Milan, University of Pavia, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, University of Verona, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, University of Roma TRE, University of Sassari.
